
1. Visual Arts
a) T-shirt on Sustainable Development
Students imagine their sustainable development t-shirt either:
- by drawing it using the template available on www.eduki.ch;
- by creating it entirely.
b) Free format
Drawing, photography, sculpture, fashion, design, painting, etc.
Let your imagination and your artistic talent run free to provide us with your most beautiful work.
The best productions will be exhibited at the Palais des Nations (UN) during the month of June 2012.
2. Writing
a) "a message for Rio"
At the Rio Summit in 1992, a young Alaskan read a speech to mobilize policy makers who were present. 20 years later, what would you say to policy makers so that they act quickly and that they hold the set targets. The message must be of the same length as that of 1992 .
The best messages will be read and filmed at the awards ceremony at the UN.
b) Free Style
Essays, poetry, short stories, etc.
Do you like writing and does the subject inspires you ? Well then, to your feathers!
3. Reporting
Audio or video material with a duration of 3 to 30 minutes.
Are you planning to study journalism or are you simply passionate about video, we welcome your edited work!
4. Research paper / project
A research paper or developed idea to achieve a sustainable development.
- Decentering exercise: For example, you can carry out a search putting yourself in the place of a person (representing a government, NGO, business, a farmer, etc.) and make an account of his/her point of view, experiences, thoughts, etc.
- With friends, a class or a school, you have some idea on the topic of consumption and production that would lead towards finding a solution to a problem.
5. Piece of music
Free music creation with a duration of 3 to 15 minutes.
Sustainable Development is a subject which has inspired famous artists, it is now up to you provide us with your compositions.
It is easy to take part!
Register at www.eduki.ch by filling out the online form. When your work is done you can upload it on the same form.
For drawings, sculptures and other artistic creations, take a picture of your work.
The work will be submitted in electronic format Word / PDF / JPG / PSD.
The original version must be presented upon request, or exposed to the jury during the awards ceremony.
Regulation (excerpt)
Works and projects completed by the participant(s) must be related to the subject and clearly demonstrate the role of international cooperation in this field.
Each participant or group agrees to submit a creation or original project to the organizers. He/She must be the author and have carried it out in the 12 months prior to the deadline for submitting the work.
Within the school context this work is expected encourage interdisciplinarity and collaboration between teachers.
The accepted languages are French, English, German and Italian.
The work must be submitted through the website with the exception of files that are too heavy (see complete rules on www.eduki.ch).
In its assessment the jury will consider the following:
Quality - Originality - Investment - Relevance.
Reminder: If the work submitted to the contest is also the subject of school grading the choice of the jury does not take into account in any case the assessment obtained in the participants’ school and vice versa.
